I recently acquired a BSA M17 and would like to know what grades these came in or is there a source for them out there. I tried finding information about BSA rifles without any luck

Great rifles, here is some old info for you from brochures from back in the day, 1950's to 1970's, they came in .303, .30-06, .270 win. and apparently 8x57mm.

Apparently Model 1917s were altered in Belgium to 7 shots in 7.92mm.

A cleaning rod was added and a thumb slot was cut for loading.

All previous markings were removed and the barrel was marked, "B Blindee 7.92mm" when proofed for jacketed bullets.

i'm also from sask, and also just acquired an M17, sporterised by BSA, mine has a sporterised military stock, which has a long crack running the length of the forearm, to the receiver, fortunately found a replacement sporter stock from a fellow CGN member. can't wait to get it together and shoot this monster, wow, what a tank!! LOL also got 4 boxes of CIL Imperial 180gr SaberTip ammo with it too, old classy gun, old classy ammo. and, my rifle came with a Herter's scope, interesting combination. did herter's sell the BSA rifles?? or assemble them? anyways, congrats Enfield1911, great score!!
