I am looking at what I believe is a Martini action BSA. The action is the same as a Martini Henry but smaller.

On the side of the receiver is stamped BSA with what, I think, were three verticla rifles and the word Trademarks below it. It has a PH7A sight. Barrel is stamped .220 Long Rifle and is quite htick

Can anyone tell me anything about this rifle. Can anyone give a value range for it?

Thankis in advance.

It sound like a Martini International Mk lll. The one I had was very accurate and would shoot one hole groups all day long, with just about any ammo.
I found it a bit awkward to shoot and was very front heavy and the stock did not fit me well :( Sold it and bought an Anshutz :D
The cool thing about them is that when you fire it and open the breach the spent casing flips forward about 2 feet.

Really pees off the guy two positions down from you!!

Ya, what Maynard said about the international.
If the side of the receiver is sort of cut away a bit right at the breach block it quite likely is an international.
The small framed matrinis are quite a bit smaller than the International and not really the same action at all.

Does it have abig knob on the side to take the action apart?

It is not an International. Not with a 7A sight.
You need to measure the length of the barrel and the diameter of the barrel at the breach and the muzzle.
Also the width of the action.

Value depends on condition - $100 to $500. Most go for around $300.
I've paid from $75 to $500.

Probably looks like the one in this thread, 3 posts down.
