BSA Rifle Value

They kinda remind me of the Parker Hale 1200 series rifles.

NAA.

Wow, great minds think alike. My first thought was that it looked an awful lot like my Parker Hale from the 60s, which I suspect is the vintage of this BSA. My (original) sling is exactly the same too! No schnabel forend like mine, but I do like the ebony forend. Different bolt on this BSA, but it's a very nice gun. Unfortunately, like my old PH, probably worth under $500 if the bore is pristine. And to the guy who used the words 'cheaper' and 'Parker Hale' in the same sentence, well...

My thoughts too, that Parker Hale are under valued. Some of those old, original Parker Hale had a great reputation for accuracy. Within recent months the local sport shop had a PH, about like you describe, sitting in their used rack with a tag of $295. on it. At the same time they were selling Tikas for $800, or whatever.
I just can't figure it.

See, now that's just the kind of gun I couldn't leave the store without. I'm sure the dealer would have taken an offer too. Almost feels wrong to pay that little for a PH...

What's a Tika? :)

It would have been 30-06 #4, and a bit hard to convince myself. But I sure know what you mean.

What's a Tika?

Had one in my hands, once, and I think the store owner called it something like that. Certainly had no interest in the rifle, so never bothered with the spelling of it.

No, my comment was not a spelling issue. I don't know the correct spelling of 'Tika' myself. I too hefted one in the gun shop a couple of years ago. I cycled the action a few times and handed it back to the guy behind the counter thereby putting Tika out of mind forever.

Is that not a CF2? The reason it looks like a Parker Hale is because of the stock - both made by Siles in Italy.

No, the shape of the striker cover is the give-away. The CF2 is less angular than the Monarch which has 3 distinct angles at the rear of the cover.
