bsa rifle

Looking for info on a bsa 3006 rifle .Found a nice used one but not sure what they are like as far as being a good shooter or what kind of quality.

Usually yes, but tough to get parts for, unless it's one of the BSA M17/P14 rebuilds. - dan

I have one in 270 that i've had for 35 years still shoots well. I kept me in meat for many years.

I,ve got one in 7x57. It's a hunter model with schnabel foreend. They have a nice smooth action, looks like good quality build. It shoots 2" at 100 yds.

I had a BSA in 30-06. It was the only gun I used for about 10 years until I could afford more guns. It always treated me good. I use to lend it to my friends when they were going hunting & I was not. Nobody ever complained about it & one of them kept trying to buy it from me. Good gun. No complaints.

I like my featherlite 30-06 BSA, it has character. It shoots well, the recoil is quite manageable and fit and finish is beautiful. I don't have it scoped yet but with open sight it shot 4" at 100, I know this to be mostly my shortcomings with open sights not the rifles.

I think these are the Model C...I had a couple...best of the BSA's IMHO...better than the later Model 800...or whatever it was called...

You should have kept it as while BSA chambered a lot of their rifles in 300 Savage and .257 Roberts the 250-3000 would have been quite the oddball.

Were there markings showing the model or designation? Now you have me checking them all over.
