Sure it's a K31?
It would be some trick to convert a K31 to 30-30.
It would take a chamber sleeve at minimum.
Mostly 1889s converted to 30-30.


The rifle shown in the photo is definitely a Model of 1889.
The REAR LOCKING LUGS are the dead giveaway.
The long BOLT SHANK at the front just helps.
The 1911 (the median model) had forward-mounted locking-lugs.
The K-31 had NO long bolt shank: very compact action.
Still a decent old rifle, especially if you like Bubba'd 19th-Century milsurps.
That said, yes, I DO have one! And it shoots fine.
