I purchased a sportered Lee-Enfield for $225 dollars. Its a 1943 No4 Mk1 Longbranch with pretty much all bluing, no rust whatsoever, great bore, original magazine and sling and the only issues are I believe it's been cut down and the sights are different. Other than that it's really nice. Was I shafted or was this a reasonable purchase?

If it is one of the Parker Hale or factory conversions, it is not really "Bubba'd" in the way where Bubba'd rifles are more considered basement modified rather than factory modified. I do not think that anyone can consider a Sedgley Springfield or a Griffin and Howe Springfield Sporter a "Bubba'd" rifle.
The $200 - $250 range seems to be where people on the EE are asking these days for a sporterized Long Branch Number 4 rifle in good condition.
