Do whatever you want with it, just make sure it is accurate!
I would not hesitate to shoot a moose at 200 yards with my Dad's Enfield, even 250. The thing is, I have never had to shoot a moose that far away!

We took an enfeild and dropped on one of the ati synth stocks and a non-tap scope mount. That left the gun in original condition - you can keep the wood seperate if you've already got an original wood LE.
With that config, and a scope, you have moose stompin' power out to 250 with only about a 4.5 inch drop using standard federal 180's. (assuming about a 200 yard zero.) There are loads which would give you a little more range theoretically, but unless your le shoots particularly well for an le 250 is plenty. That's more than enough for most moose hunts.
