I'm thinking about putting my Buck Mark Sporter up for sale.

My asking price will be effected by retail availability.

It seems that they have been quite rare in the Ottawa area for some time.

I don't know if that is because retailers don't bring them in or whether there is a general shortage.

How is it elsewhere in the country - has anyone seen them on the shelf lately?

You can ask what ever, I've seen 2 on the last month on the EE and they seem to sell slowly, I was on the Fence about buying one and contacted Al Flaherty and they said they coul get me a NIB one within a reasonable time frame, but in the end it's your rifle your asking price.

Good Luck

I thought Le Baron had them for $650 ?

They're nice (and fun) little rifle, kind of surprise they aren't more popular... but I'm guessing the $$ is a big reason why you don't see that many of them at the range.
Even though there are a number of folks who have way more than that invested in their 10/22, they didn't initially walked into the gun shop thinking that they would spend that much...

My guess is the mags, I personally rather 10/22 variants for bigger mags and more availability.

More than likely price for those uninformed on quality. No feeding problems, also no turd hanging from the bottom. Not for everybody but I'm hanging on to mine.

Last time I checked with my local store they weren't showing any in the entire system. That is one of the reasons I posed this question - you see lots listed but no one seems to actually have them in stock. Btw, for the ill-informed, they are made in the USA.

Who ever said it was made some where else's ? As per having them in stock i'd give a call to Ellwood Epps or Al Flaherty's they are pretty good at bringing stuff in within a few weeks, but like I said previously your rifle your asking price.

Perhaps I should've clarified....I was suggesting that the general public either didn't know or likely didn't care...I never for a meant to question the knowledge base found here :)

I stopped in at Le Baron today - there are none in their computer system, they can't order them and they have no idea when they will become available again.

Thanks for all the replies - I sold it at work in a couple of minutes after putting it up on our internal "for sale" board.
Went for $650 LNIB (I'm happy).

I just bought a Buck Mark Sporter at Calgary Shooting Centre last week for $639. A few weeks earlier, I just missed out on a Taget model at P&D that was going for $599.

I don't think they are unpopular; they seem to sell fast when they do show up on dealers shelves.
