Buckhammers out of a smoothbore...

Anyone have any experience with these?

I know they are made for a rifled barrel, but you can shoot em out of a smoothbore.

Anyone post any groups or results from doing this?
Found a post online claiming keyholing starting around 30 yards using this combo.

I just ended up with a few boxes, all my shotties are non-rifled, and was wondering if these hard hitters were accurate/useful enough to be used as wilderness ammo in my smoothbores.

Their stats tell me they hit harder than your average foster slug thats for sure.

I would love to try some, but alas they are pretty scarce in Nova Scotia. I don't think I have ever seen them being offered for sale here. They are basically a lead slug with a plastic jacket; right?

i have some buckhammers that are not sabbot wrapped. costs lots but the best slug out of my 20g, good for 2 to 3 inch at 50 yards

I didn't know they came with a sabot? I thought it was just some fancy plastic fin on the rear that catches rifling...
