Just bought one on the weekend and was wondering if anybody had any opinions on them. Good or bad? Thanks

They come up in the EE once in a while, but you have to act fast as they don't seem to last long.

I've had a few, now down to one. The target HB models seem to shoot a bit better, but the taper barrel models seem to have a better balance. I found the taper barreled model shoots better than a factory 10/22 sporter barrel, under 1" at 50y.

YMMV, Cheers!

Love it!!
Nice and light to carry, accurate and comfortable to shoot!
Enjoy your new purchase!!

I was debating between the buckmark and a tactical 10/22. Im thinking I made a good choice. I also went with a simple Weaver 4x scope. Should be a good "chicken gun"....

I bought one used here on EE and love it. I put a Leupold rimfire scope on it and it is a great setup. One thing that irritates me though, is that when you take it apart for cleaning you will see a bunch of small parts, some of them plastic. I am always afraid to loose one of them. But no worry, Brownels carries most of replacement parts for Buckmark. My slide release latch broke and I got one from them for few bucks.

I think they're very cool. I came THIS close to buying one a few years ago. Got hung-up on which barrel to choose and ultimately got cold feet. (it was $-related) Anyhow, wish I had taken the plunge...they're beautiful rifles.

Is there any problems with the slide hitting the scope? Does the scope get in the way when chambering a round?

i got the bmr in black with laminated stock, i handlapped the barrel ,its got the sdjustable trget trigger and 18 inch heavy barrel, it will shoot pretty much all ammo well under an inch at 75 yards indoors of course with the elly and lapua target ammo one small jagged hole of course the sweet 22 scope on it helps i just offered the whole rig to a fellow on the exchange i bought it in 02 and just dont use it after i set it up they do still make them but in very limited numbers for some strange reason
