I've been considering mounting one of these to my 870. It sees tripple duty as a barnyard defender, clay blaster and freezer filler. Where I live shots are rarely past 75m. I guess have three questions:
1) I would rather not drill into the receiver, how good are the receiver pin mounts and do they hold zero well?
2) I see a sight like this being great for short range, reflex shooting at small game and chicken thieves as well as working well when shooting slugs at deer at the ranges I mentioned. The only thing I'm unsure of is how this will work as a sight for targets such as clays and waterfowl. Anyone have any experience with this?
3) If the receiver pin style mounts are any good, where would I find one? I haven't had any luck with the site sponsors I frequent.
