So...what would you put on a buckmark rifle?
I bought that one 3screwsloose was selling on the EE.
What a pretty gun!

I have no experience at all with any red dots or holographic sights.
I'll be using it at an indoor range, up to 25M punching paper.

Congrats on the purchase, great gun but wear glasses for sure. My Sporter wears a Weaver 3-9x32 AO Classic. Seems to be the right size. Red dots aren't optimum for target work. I also do a lot of gopher shooting with mine

Thanks for the input metalbender.
Against your suggestion I went to Cabela's and got a Barksa red dot.
It was cheap enough that if it doesn't work out I can get something else.
But after looking through a bunch of different things I decided I like the wide field of view. and thought I'd give that a go.

Depends on the reticle in the Barska. If it has a circle or fine crosshair, you might be ok, otherwise the dot covers your aiming point. I use a Leupold Deltapoint with a 3 moa dot on my 22/45 and find that it's workable with the rather large bull on a pistol target. For precision target shooting a fine crosshair is preferred. A range report on how you make out asap please.

This one has four different reticules. Crosshair, little circle, pretty cool actually.
Checked the bushnell trs25 and it only had the single dot. And a green dot too. About $100 or so.
