I know its a bit ridiculous and has been done before but has anyone any tips for this.
I figure my AR is a range toy anyways so why not have a bit of fun with it.

I'm hoping to mount my 8.5" grizzly to its 10.5" Norinco cousin.

I know lockhart make a dedicated mount which looks rock solid but I'm not looking to spend $400 on this.

A3 Tactical make a small 20mm to 20mm female adapter/clam but I thought i saw something similar, only longer made by leupold or bushnell for mounting a scope which had 20mm rails all around but I cant seem to find the link.

Thanks in advance

My only advise is don't go cheap, the amount of kick from a shotgun will shear off any bolts that wasn't designed to take the force. The screws on a typical scope rail weren't meant to carry the full weight of the shotgun and the recoil.

do yourself a favor. before spending all that money on it, duct tape your shotgun to the rifle and just carry/point/manipulate it. it is VERY heavy, Very awkward, Very hard to aim the rifle unless prone. the shotgun is VERY awkward to manipulate also. i built one and actually ran a two gun match with it. fun, but terrible.

for the record, i have since stripped off the shotgun, removed the mount, and no longer have a MASTERKEY.

and later i thought i could make a "better" one. same results.

I know it's only a gimmick and will probably get bored of it but why not do it for the laugh.
20 years time and semis and short shotguns could be banned, I think I'd regret not doing it more than wasting a couple of hundred bucks on it.
I have already triednit zip tied together and I know it's ignorant and unwieldy but feck it, I'd like to see how she shoots.
I'm under no illusions here.

I'm thinking a couple of a3 tactical mounts, in close proximity to each other, they show it being used to mount other fire arms to an AR, shotgun included.

I know weaver make a rail to fit the 8.5 grizzly, for a H&R topper or pardner I believe.

Power wagon did you mount have a bolt going through the rear of the receiver where the stock screw would go?

Yeah that would have been rock solid alright.

Any tips on what mag would be most comfortable to fire the shotgun, I only have LAR mags coupled together, which aren't the most comfortable holding it, never mind recoil.

I was thinking along the lines of a PMag.

Just keep on eye on the mounts, as was mentioned. The shotgun shakes the living hell out of everything. I had a grenade launcher mounted under one of my shotguns and the shotgun recoil shook the launcher to the point where the release bushing on the launcher tube was chipped from recoil impact. You're better off dual-wielding lmao
