Budget reloading question.

I bought my budget rifle, Remington 770 Stainless Synthetic in .300 WinMag and am considering reloading for it.
I have experience in reloading shotshells, not rifle cartridges, so I have researched some kits with the same eye on the budget.
I can get the Lee 50th Anniversary kit in Winnipeg for $130 and after viewing some youtube videos I think this will do me. My question is this - is the frame on that press large enough to accomodate the length of a 300 WinMag cartridge?
I know the press isn't the strongest out there and some of the kit pieces are very entry level, but it does seem to be one heck of a bargain.
Any help appreciated.

Yes it will work fine.

Add to that kit some Lee dies, a manual, Imperial Sizing Die wax case lube and a Lee case length gauge for 300 Win mag.
 
The kit will work fine for .300 Win Mag. Contrary to hk33ka1, you don't need Imperial sizing die wax, as the Lee case lube will work fine. I have lubed thousands of cases with it, including .300 and .375 H&H, and sized them without problem in my Lee press and dies.
You might consider, if you are only reloading .300 Win Mag, buying the Lee case trimmer, which is a hand held cutter and pilot system Relatively inexpensive and allows you to trim your cases when they need it. Slow, but for 20 odd cases at a time it is well worth it.
This should get you started, and as you progress you can consider all of the other toys that ardent reloaders will recommend. Not required to start your first few batches.
 
Cheapest place to order from is fsreloading.com out of the US. Shipping is expensive but it's still cheaper if your ordering enough stuff.

Remember that in addition to dies you'll need a case length gauge for trimming your brass and a good caliper that reads to the thousandth. Also as a tip if you want to shine up your brass and don't want to buy a tumbler use a scotchbrite pad on the case while your trimming it.

As for your actual question, yes its long enough. I reload 375 H&H on that crappy little cast aluminum press. My guess is it will only last me 5-10 years before dying. All the lee stuff works well, just don't abuse it. Treat it gently and it works great. Except the auto prime at times...stupid auto prime...(likes to jam at the end and sometimes won't feed the primer properly...not an issue with minor amounts of patience....)

+1 on that. A salesman suggested it to me years ago and it's the greatest stuff going. Especially with a light press and large cases, you want the best lube possible.
 
Imperial Sizing Die Wax. Ye-e-s... I thought that people were talking out of their hats on this. My Lee lube works great. Anyway, for $5 or so, I figured, what the heck, I finally found some and gave it a try.
I have not had a sticky case in the past two years!
The best part is that, unlike the Lee Lube, I can lube a bunch of cases tonight, go to bed, and still just as easily process them tomorrow night. You CAN'T do that with the Lee Lube, or at least, that has been my experience. The lube will dry out and you will get stuck cases.
That being said, I used the Lee lube satisfactorily for more than 20 years without any major incidents.
OP, you are buying the kit. You will get the lube. Use it, but when it comes time to replace it, get the Imperial Wax.
 
I bet there are a lot of us sizing 300 win mag brass and larger on that same Lee press. And learning off you tube is a good idea in my oppinion.
