I tried to order some brass from Buffalo Arms this week and they called me stating that until further notice they will not ship any brass out of the country. I e-mailed them back and asked specifically about 577 Snider brass as it is considered obsolete in both our countries and they said that they said sorry but they cannot ship any brass. This is too bad as they were the best supplier of obsolete cartridge casings that I have found.

Crap. Shooting my .45-110 and .50-140 are going to get a whole lot more expensive then. I have 100 pieces of brass on orer with them right now. I hope it was sent in time.

It seems that Bertram Brass is available from Shooters Choice, but the price is pretty sky high. I wonder how difficult it would be to get it straight from Australia.

Chris.

Hope one of our supplies here can take up the challenge and keep us supplied. I know Mysticplayer and Epps brings in some stuff and maybe Prophet River will stock some to compliment the Sharps that they were selling....

Thank Obama and the Homeland Security zealots...........................Harold **PS** Maybe we can shut off the Alaskan pipeline till they grow brains?

Hmmm, I have some brass on back-order from them. Guess I'll never see that! Placed the order two weeks ago though, I wonder what made them suddenly change their minds?

I'm not a politician but I'd do it ,as well as mine the waters under the Artic ice cap to prevent US and Soviet sub trespassers............................we've been taken for granted too long IMO Harold

Just bought 500 rounds of 455 off them at the beggining of summer thank goodness I did I figured it would happen eventually.

Well had a chat with Buffalo arms looks like they are seeing if they can still ship but I don't think it looks good . Get your brass where you can out of the US if you can find some who will still ship midway won't now I believe they got fined.

I received some .45 Schofield brass last week from Track of the Wolf, which operates out of Minnesota. They seem to have some supplies for "obsolete" cartridges.

yeah that would solve the shipping problem, just not the way you think.

Bombing our NATO allies or sinking their subs isn't considered neighbourly. In fact it would be a defacto declaration of war. Said war would be very short. The US would simply move in and take over. Might be a bit unpleasant for a while but after everything normalized, we could order all the reloading components we want from the USA, seeing as Canada would be the 51st state in the union... Is that what you meant? ;)

Isn't that when the US becomes our 11th province

Nah. if we had to merge I'd rather adopt their laws. Ours suck.

Anyway, in case you missed it, the comment i made was not serious, just a goofy response to the goofy suggestion that Canada bomb the Alaska pipeline and start sinking US submarines. Stupid begets stupid. Sorry.

I wasn't serious either this is what I say to some American friends and relatives when I want to piss them off.

See there shipping policy, Seems to be more general than specific to Canada.

"Quote: Foreign Orders

Firearms, barrels, projectiles, cartridge cases and conversion cylinders can be exported through one of our exporters. Due to new regulations this typically runs $300 and up for one shipment. We can recommend an U.S. exporter to you to assist you in this.

Due to the additional time it takes to put together an international shipment there is a $5 processing fee charged in addition to our $1 per package handling fee on each foreign order. If the country we are shipping to does not allow us to fully insure the parcel and in the unlikely event of a parcel being lost or damaged then it is the customer's loss. This has never happened but you should be aware of the possibility.

If for any reason your package is returned to us by the shipping company the customer will have to pay for all shipping charges. We will ship Global Express Mail or FedEx International Express to all foreign countries. We will select the best method of shipment. Calculated shipping prices shown on the web when ordering are not accurate for any foreign countries. An average shipment typically costs $45-$60 USD for a 4-8 pound package for most of Western Europe.

We are unable to ship conversion cylinders, bullets, barrels, ammunition or firearms out of the country unless you use the services of an exporter. If your country does not appear on our shipping list then we are unable to ship to you at this time. "

Has anyone called them?
