Buffalo Hunt

Check the Alberta Outfitters Association, Yukon Outfitters Association, BC Guide Outfitters Association and the NWT. All these provinces and territories offer guided free-range bison hunts. Sorry but there are no buffalo in Canada...;)

Mack....you were the one that posted the question...not sure you need to keep posting your own answers.

Invite me on a hunt. :) I am a resident of saskatchewan but have a business in Alberta. Does one buy a nonresident permit and license in that case?
We just went north until we found them, and started hunting. No guide required for residents. AB also has the hunter host program for folks from "outside". - dan

No licence required or even available for bison in the eastern part of the province and there is no non-resident hunting for the pure-strain wood bison that live up around Zama. It's a draw for residents only.
