Buffer and spring questions

Sorry for the newby question. But I currently have a 6 stage collapsible on my 308. If I want to switch to a PRS I know I need to change the tube to a A2 style. But is the buffer and spring still the same? Or does that need to change too?

Pretty sure the PRS uses a rifle tube spring and buffer.

Yes, rifle length spring and buffer required, unless... you build a spacer for your tube.

I used a Spikes ST-T0 spacer and cut it so that the bolt cleared the catch by 1/16". This allows me to back and forth between my PRS and SOPMOD without tuning a new setup.

P.S. I'm cheap and like building stuffs
