After many set-backs I finally got my first build finished. I started ordering parts late dec and it took until today to get the last part (Barrel). The gun consists of a Savage 12 bvss action/bolt, Rifle basics sav 2 trigger, precision recoil lug, Shilen select match 6mmBr barrel finished @ 28 inches, stuffed in a Yo-Dave stock. To top the gun off is a 20 moa egw rail, Leupold prw rings, and a sightron s3 8-32-56.
I'll be loading up some cartridges shortly useing virgin Norma brass, Varget power, CCI BR4 primers and Berger 105vld's. My goal is to try out the 1/2 moa challenge in the next week or so once i bed the action and do any final fitting. I headspaced the barrel today she she is ready to go.
I wanted no taper in the barrel so it is beefy at just over 6lbs by itself. The gun finished tops 15lbs.
