I found with the SLR Adjustable Gas Block that the JP Captured spring wasnt needed. YMMV

Not sure yet for the pistol grip. Wait and see what the OEM unit is like. I usually use the Magpul MOE but maybe something skeletonised?

Carbine length tube .... As for the buttstock .... going to use the NEA one off of the BCL 102 to start .... LOL

Should I decide to build up one of these rifles, I'd start with the upper/lower/bolt carrier set.
Machine a barrel from a blank to the contour & weight I prefer, install a low profile gas block. .260 caliber.
Gilled brake.
A1 stock. (i.e. shorter, fixed stock).
Plain grip.
Rework the trigger, or install a RRA two stage.
Plain tubular handguard, drilled and tapped for a sling swivel stud to mount a bipod.
Install one of my scopes, either 2 1/2-8 or 4 1/2 - 14 Leupold Mk. 4s.
Should work back to a thou.
