I was on the CFC site and read that a flint lock rifle does not have to be regeistered? Did I read that right? So can you make a flint lock rifle without going through all the paper work? Maybe I misenturpeted something here? Can some one clarify this for me?
 
Yep. As long as it's a flintlock, matchlock or wheellock long gun, no permits are required. Pistols made after 1898 are restricted or prohibited according to the barrel length same as any other handgun. Caplocks made after 1898 are subject to registration.
