If I buy a lower, I need to register it with the CFC correct? Nothing else to tell/register with the CFC afterwards? What does it say on the registration cert? Receiver only? Also, if AR's are ever cough confiscated... all you would have to turn in is the lower/receiver correct? Thx.

Technically, if it ceases to become a 'receiver only', you must notify the CFC within 30 days.
My 'receiver only' AR is conveniently disassembled from the upper every 29 days.

You are right on all points. but remember after you build it (they will come) you have 30 days to have it verified and re-registerd, after you have it re-registerd and you are asked to surrender it, they will most likely be looking for the complet rifle, after it is taken you can apply to have the firearm released to your local gun shop so they can sell it on your behalf. This is a service we do for our customers all the time.
