Building Mil Surp rifle from parts

I have the remains of a 91 Mosin Nagant that was converted into a single shot .410 in Belgium. Barreled action is OK, stock is really hurting. Unfortunately, the stock is not from a service rifle, it was purpose made for the shotgun conversion.
