Building my first Upper

Hi all,
I'm thinking of building my first AR-15 upper. What is the dea about getting parts in from the USA? No export permit required if it is under $100?

What about personal sales from a US citizen?

Im looking to buy the upper reciever, barrel nut, forward assist, door and bolt/bolt carrier privately, but not sure if I can import a used barrel.

Any suggestions would be great.

You won't be able to import (without certificates anyway) the receiver, bolt, or carrier, or barrel. Critical firearm components require export approval from the US regardless of value.
