My new project is taking form, i did order from Epps a Steyr Mannlicher Prohunter SBS Big bore 450 Marlin... Bought from a store in Montreal a nice Zeiss scope... order from Prophet River a one medium height LTW scope mount from Talley mgf... Working on my first 450 Marlin reloads, i will start load devellopement with 350 gr Interlocks Hornady, H-322 and BR-2, i should get over 2200 fps easy and knowing the potential of the Steyr rifle, i am pretty sure to roll one under 2 inch at 200 metres, i have hope, will keep you guy posted with pictures and details... Cheers. JP.

Ahhh, you're the one who finally bought that rifle from Epps, I had looked at that rifle on their site quite a few times but just couldn't justify it as I already have a 338win mag and 45-70 and there are other niches in my firearm collection I need to fill.

Anyway, congrats and good luck on your new firearm purchase I look forward to seeing your results,

JD

Yes sir, i made an offer and i got a real good price on it, i guess they had to move it, owning a couple of Steyr i knew that it could be one of it's kind in that caliber, could be quite a shooter, future will tell... Cheers. JP.

Nice calibre! Don't forget to try some IMR3031 or Reloader 7 also.
Those Hornday 350s should work just fine. For an easier break on your wallet, try the copper jacketed 405 Remington SP should print really well on paper. I would be careful on big game with these though. I suspect if you push these Remingtons too hard you'll just ruin alot of deer meat for no good reason.
Any handload data on the wildcat 458x2inch American will work for you just fine also.

Thank, i will try the 405, just bought a 100 today and one pound of Benchmark, i will keep note of the powder you suggest... JP.

The test target supplied with the Big bore show 1.260 inch at a 100 metres with Hornady Interlock 350 gr and the direct trigger is set to a light 2.5 pounds no creep, brake like glass... I am gone have some serious fun here... Cheers. JP.

After Canada Post lost my Talley mount, just call Clay from Prophet River, he is sending me another Talley LTW mount and he will make a claim at CP for the lost one, great service, in the mean time the 450M Big Bore is sitting helpless on top of my computer desk... Cheers. JP.
