Bul 40

Recently aquired a Bul .40 which may or may not have been a good idea, other than MAGS!! Obviously need 5 minimum for IPSC. gun comes with 2, of course Marstar has minimal in reserve, have heard that minor mods to Para. mags will do the trick ............any thoughts?

I got a BUL 40 from Marstar around 6 months ago. A very accurate 1911 and fit my hand well. Yeah, I got the same problem with mag too, although 4 mags is fine for level 1 IPSC. Looking for advice too.

Thanks, I`ll let you know if I get more info on substitutes and or mods to other mags.

I have never handled a Bul .40 but own a Bul Storm which I will never sell. Bul Transmark has some amazing craftsmanship. I checked the Bul website and they have the following for their Canadian distributor...

Great Gun, GREAT VALUE,
I had one in .45.
I tried a para mag in my BUL,
and it didn't look like the para mag was a quick and easy modification to make it fit.

I was planning on buying the double stacked Officer frame with Commander slide. Hopefully they bring more in.

I emailed Double Tap and they said it will be another couple of months before they have the deal all signed. But I imagine as soon as they do they will be a good source for mags.
