Anybody have any hands on experience with BUL M-5 series pistols...? Marstar is distributing them in Canada (Charles Daly in the states)... they look / sound good on paper... and pretty reasonably priced... $699 Canadian for the "black" Gov't version... and $899.00 for the two tone Commander... they're both available in 9x19, .40 and .45...

Any first hand experience would be appreciated...

Thanks.

I shot the M-5 Government and if I had the money would snap up their Commander version in a flash. A very nice gun.

I agree... the commander length would be my choice as well, in .40... having said that, in black (as they call it...) rather then the stainless, just a taste thing really... something about the "bling" factor of that look that I don't care for... and the black version of the commander should only be $699.00 vs. $899.00 for the two tone (given that the two tone version of the Gov't length is $899.00 and the black is $699.00)

But...

I tried one out a few months back and found the seem between the grip safety and grip was pinching my hand, not comfortable at all.

That doesn't sound good...!?! Not that it would matter as the frames are the same (well, between the commander and the Gov't), but which model did you shoot...?

How was the pistol for weight / balance (given the composite frame)...?

Thanks very much guys...
