Anyone have any experience with these barrels? I'm interested in there 19.25" med barrel salt bath nitrate finish. Would we be able to get these up here?
There's not a lot of data on these barrels so I decided to start a thread on what kind of accuracy you all are having with these barrels.
I have one on an LRB in a Blackfeather and one on an LRB in a SAGE. Here are the results from the SAGE break-in.
Ran a total of 102 round through the rifle. 72 rounds of XM-80 ball and 30 rounds of various hand loads and some 175gr FGMM
Smallest group at 100 was 1.297"
My cheek weld wasn't the best so I might slap on my PRS stock and give it another go. Head placement was just a little low. My Zeiss is also not able to adjust the parallax, so there was some at 100. I believe it was set up for zero parallax at 300yds.
It's shooting pretty good and I haven't had a chance to mess with the tensioner screw yet. I'll try and give it another go on Wednesday.
If anyone has groups from your 19.25" barrels with measured sizes, please post them here. I'll be spending more time with my Blackfeather in the coming months.
If I average the groups sizes of my last four groups (consisting of three different loads), the average size was 1.474" or 1.408 MOA.
To put it in perspective, Any rifle that was bench tested by the Marine Corps Rifle Team that shot under 1.5" was deemed acceptable for a match grade rifle.

I went out for a second range trip with the LRB/Bula/SAGE build. I adjusted the barrel whip screw and it seemed to help a little. Here are the last three groups fired out of this rifle; two 5-shot groups and one 10-shot group.
The 125's shot about the same as before...
This is the smallest group that's ever been fired out of this gun and it was shot by one of my best friends who's not an experienced shooter at all. He's only fired rifles a couple of times in his life and that was all while he was with me.
The 175's had the most improvement, cutting a third of an inch off group size while shooting twice as many rounds.
I sent the last shot off 30 seconds before the final cease fire at the range. It was 9pm and we were shooting on a lighted range. I wanted to shoot some more 175's and maybe some M118LR but we ran out of time.
Average group size for the last twenty shots was 1.292", or 1.23 MOA.
Tony.
