I am getting into IPSC, and until I am set up to reload, I'll need to buy prefab ammo. So does anyone know where I can find .40 S&W bulk ammo (1000 rounds min.) that will meet the Major power factor (min. 170) required for the Standard Division?

Since I am in Ottawa, somewhere located relatively close would be preferred. Reloaded ammo is fine.

I know about Wolf Bullets in Kingston, and am looking for other options as well.

Thanks.

Cheers!

Other places would be LeBaron and Marstar for factory ammo. Both around $240/1000

There are not many commercial reloaders because of government licensing requirements and other bs that they have to go through.

Your best bet may be Wolf. I believe you can get him to load them down to about a 175 or so PF. Factory is hotter than that. If you haven't taken your BB yet then definately get some loaded lighter than a 170 PF as they will be more pleasant and less distracting to shoot. Work up your technique and accuracy first, then worry about making PF.

wolf would be a good idea, buy more then 1000 as you will need it.
if your going to shoot ipsc dont even bother with light loads train as if each shot were a match shot, same holster same gun same ammo.
