Bulk Ammo in GSG 1911 22 LR.

Wondering if anyone has a bulk 22 ammo that works well in their GSG 22 pistol? Right now mine likes CCI Mini Mags but has a tough time with the CCI Clean, it won’t cycle through the gun. I can’t always find mini mags so I am looking for a bulk option.

My GSG eats up Federal 525 packs with next to zero issues. It hates anything Winchester. CCI Blazer bulk packs are decent but not quite as good as the 525 packs.

Just a thought, consider polishing the coating off the inside of the slide rails or running a bit of lapping compound/aerosol to clean up the rails. You might find that slicking up those rails and maybe just the slightest cleanup of the feedramps and deburring the barrel make it run anything HV.

Yeah shoot I am out of the 525 packs and haven’t seen them in a while. Anyone try the Remington golden bullet or new federal byob packs?

Federal auto match and blue box525 as well as the federal black pack works well in mine but is well broken in!

That has been my experience with the GSG 1911 22lr. It benefits greatly from cleaning up those slide surfaces.

My Swiss Arms marked GSG 1911 loves that 1600rd black Friday ammo and shoots it for the best groups of anything it has been fed so far (which is almost exclusively bulk)

I don't buy Remington Thunderbolt or Wildcat or Winchester white box as all of those have had loose rounds in the brass or in the case of thunderbolts I had rounds stuck in every 22lr I own with it after trying to find at least one gun that would shoot it...….Never again. That box forced me to buy a .22 Tipton rod just to tap out the rounds from about 8 different firearms.

I highly recommend that 1600rd 22lr black box stuff I bought a bunch of them when they were on rebate and again the next year for cheap....Best 22lr deal I have ever had. I would Bypass minimags for it immediately.
