Bulk ammo

Looking at getting my first gun and planning on getting plenty of range time in, any suggestions for the best place to get bulk ammo? also any downsides of running bulk ammo?

Make sure your range allows the ammunition you buy. Many (maybe most) indoor ranges won't allow steel core.

This is a site that scrapes various websites for ammo prices. They sometimes get the "unit cost" wrong on the bulk ammo prices (they're trying to programmatically parse the descriptions and pulling out the wrong numbers) but it's mostly accurate and they do list the bulk prices accurately. It's pretty handy to see all this info in one place.
