There's a place near Brantford, ON that I can buy 250 rounds of 7.5 Birdshot for about 60 bucks.

This is awesome target load and good for drilling and getting used to everything.

Is there anywhere I can buy 00Buck in the same quantity, hopefully at a reduced price?

this might not be much help - but all i can say is that every time youre in canadian tire, walk by the ammo cabinet and see whats on sale. they randomly put stuff on clearance.
got some great deals on federal power shok buck at 50-70% off a while back.

$1 per round is the going rate ( or so it seams), thats why I started to reload them. you might want to consider the same path

I don't shoot 12 Gauge right now, so don't quote this as gospel, but I'm FAIRLY certain that Wally World here sells a case of shells for something like 25 bucks, that's for something like 100 plus rounds. (or more, like I said, wasn't paying close attention)

wally world sells the winchester universal target/bird loads but no bulk buckshot. $1 per round gets pricey the way I shoot too. Hoochie, how much do you figure your handloads cost per round?
To the OP, Frontier is sold out right now but had 250 rd cases of buffalo #4B and 00B for $160

Maybe send em an email and ask if and when they will have more in

Edit: next order arrives Jan 17th...for those of us who werent paying attention

Site sponsor Frontier Firearms ships buck in case lots, as does Marstar appearantly, though Frontier seems to be frequently sold out according to their website and Marstar hasn't updated the shotgun ammo part of their website in ages so who knows what the deal is now?

These seem to be about the only places in Canada that regularly sell buckshot by the case, and that are doing it for a reasonable price.

We stock it on and off. I usually try to bring in recoil reduced when I get a good deal on it.

i personally would not buy the Winchester bulk promo loads again.

it is steel cased. if you look around, for the same or just a bit more money you can get proper brass cased shells. check Lebarons, or Epps on sale.

its just not worth it to #%@$ around with that steel cased junk - it doesnt function as reliably, not to mention the steel cased ammo likely introduces extra wear in your firearms as well.

+1 on avoiding the Winchester steel cased crap. That stuff jammed my 870 like crazy. About every 3-5 rounds one would refuse to extract. The thin metal expanded to the point where it was so stuck it wouldn't extract even with me reefing on the slide as hard as I dared (so as not to break the extractor). And this was with the chamber damn near spotless prior to going shooting!

must be the 870s that hate that stuff. my maverick 88 ran a whole box with no problems whatsoever after firing 20 or so slugs. The Benelli didnt complain either (but it never does)
