Just wondering what you guys use and like.

So far Im looking at the 40 round Tab one, because 40 rounds is a good size and it also has the clear window for your dope cards. Is there other manufactures of binders that Im not finding?

Just wondering if its worth 10+ times the price over the plastic 50 round MTM ones that I use now.

cheers

For short action stuff I use the Armageddon Gear 40/40 but for my .300NM I have a nice bullet binder from AEM Precision outta Montana. Both are good options, imo.

Thanks guys for the messages.

Looks like LockHart Tactical makes them to and its only 65 bucks. Its even got the little window for your dope cards, which Im liking more and more every time Im looking at these as an must have option for me.

thanks

Just ordered short and long action Nomad binders to try out. Had no idea that they existed until cdnshooter mentioned them, thanks for the heads up!

Yeah I saw those coretac ones the other day. A little better price for sure.

Lets us know what your think of the Nomad ones once you get them.

The Nomads showed up this afternoon, first impressions are positive.
The stitching is perfectly uniform front/back, and they both seem very well made. Like they were sewn by robots. I can't find any sewing flaws at all. Andd the fabrics used appear to be quite durable, so they should last.
I loaded the long binder with my 338 Lapua/300gr hybrids that are right around 3.9". The elastics are tight but the long version will take Lapua sized cases, and there's enough length that there's no stress on the bullet tips when the binder is closed. It could be a bit tight for the guys running a 338 edge loaded to 4.1", but I don't have any to try.
I only tried my 6GT rounds in the short binder, they had plenty of room. I don't have a 6.5 PRC or anything in WSM to try, but I'm thinking they may be too fat to fit well in the short version.
The Nomads don't have a separate elastic band that the bullet tips go under, which I prefer from a runout standpoint.
The closure is a simple elastic bungee, which would be simple to replace if it fails. For the price I do wish that it came with a blank velcro ID plate to label them, I'll have to source something.
There are no pockets to hold load details/dope, which could be a bit of a negative for the handloaders.

Time will tell on durability, particularly with the elastics, but they appear well made. And they're not huge, so they'd be easy to throw in a pack.
At this point I'm happy with then, but I'll give them a couple of range visits before making the call on ordering a few more.

Nice, thanks for the feedback on that one.

I was going to order the Tab one yesterday, but my wallet wasnt feeling it.lol Maybe today.!

PIcked up the Tab binder, thanks (Insite for the super fast shipping)

This is my first binder and this binders stitching and build is flawless. A++ in my books. I really wanted one with a nice little window in it cause I like to have paper dope cards, which Ill have to remake to fit in this new binder. I think now I can buy another one without the widow that just holds more rounds.

Oh and BTW thats 22Br with 88s

I like those Tab gear ones. I would rather have two 40 round separate binders than one big one.

Most guys looking for the 120 round carrier are looking for a book that can hold a days worth of rounds at any typical match....way more economical than 3 TAB Gear Binders...but we sell both.....TAB Gear seems ideal for the Precision Rifle Hunting
Market ...where it really makes sense

I understand.
I don’t t shoot matches, and rarely shoot more than 60 rounds at the range. The 40 round ones fit nice in a pack or when hunting as mentioned.

Look at the Nomad Custom gear 60 round binders.
Been using the 1st and 2nd Gen. 60 round binders for several years with zero issues.
Two binders will suffice for a match and are easily distributed in your pack . They are not large and bulky.
Nomad Custom Gear makes top quality gear and is made in Alberta, Canada.

I would avoid this company like the plague.
There are very well known issues with this company that have been posted on this forum.

There is a reason they were booted and banned from CGN.
