been doing a bunch of reading on casting bullets..even melted down about 30 lbs of lead into ingots:D..
i have the set up in lee products to cast some bullets for my 50 cal m/l..
im hoping to find a step by step of a video, to aide me in my first attempt at this..
any one have any good links for a step by step instruction video?
thanks ahead for any help here

Rudy.
that was just what i was looking for..its a bit of a biach to watch a bunch of one minute video,s..
but it showed exactly why i did not fully understand in the reading of casting..
cheers fellow gun nutz:cheers:

Use only pure lead in your muzzle loader. Wheel weights etc are too hard. You probably know that just a friendly reminder.

cheers Darryl

always great to get a reminder..thanks..as im a green horn at this,i dont mind the repeated helpful tips..im using a pile of lead i found at work..
its of a soft batch..
scratches with ease with the thumb nail..in fact im trying to think of a system to store the bullets to save marking them up..
any ideas or tips on this?

Cut pieces of bubble wrap to fit a container. Set the balls bewteen layers . Haven't tried it but it came to mind when you asked. Commercial round balls are often just poured into a small box with no protection.

Make sure your casting room has plenty of ventilation. Know a guy who got lead poisoning from casting in a poorly ventilated room. Had to quit shooting altogether for a year.
