I know a person has to try and find out what a rifle likes but I'd like to here oppinions on how the following rate in terms of consistent accuracy

Berger hunting VLD
Hornady ELD X
Nosler long range accubonds

It depends entirely on the chambering and throating design of your rifle.... You have not specified... so we are just guessing here.

Generally bullets shoot best at or near the lands... where the rifling starts.... So seating depth is key based on that.

Then you need to check if the seating depth that is correct for the barrel will be short enough to feed in your magazine... if you have one which you have not specified.

So you can find a bullet that shoots well in your rifle if had fed one by one but cannot feed from the mag.

Also, your barrel twist rate dictates the ideal weight of the bullet... you have not specified that either.

As for terminal performance, well that depends on the above... so back to that.

Bottom line is that comparing bullets ambiguously without the whole story is just dumb hunt camp talk that leads to misinterpreted situation specific comments that will get you nowhere.

You need to provide more details.

Sorry

300 win mag
1 in 10" twist
Throated for 200 gr bullets ( Don't have the exact spec yet)
26" barrel

Just wondering if there was any overall differences between the brand names. I have always had good luck with Bergers in terms of accuracy but wondering If maybe some of the other brands gave good results ( Read accuracy). Prices keep going up and it would be nice to save a buck. BTW as for terminal performance I would probably use something like a partition for hunting but in a pinch it would be nice to have the rifle set up to shoot a bullet I could hunt with in case my main gun was not available.

For a 300 Win Mag go with a 215 Berger and H1000 with Fed GM215M primer. It just flat out works! It hammers game near and far. Just be sure to check the tips with a small drill but or needle to ensure they’re not plugged. Do a search over on long range hunting or long range only. It’s one of the most common used loads in the 300 Win Mag. Mine shoots the 215 right at 3000 fps out of a 26” Brux. Custom reamer though.

Berger's are definitely more consistent

I agree for a 300 win mag go with the 215 hybrid it's an excellent bullet, very accurate
