Ok, so you got your bullet lube recipe (recipes have already been posted). Now figure out a way to pour the hot recipe and have it coming out like the store bought tubes with the 3/8 hole in the middle.

Solution: Make a trip to Home Depot, all supplies are there.

1- 1 inch inside diameter (matches lyman sizer) pipe with threaded ends (in plumbing area of HD)

2- buy one matching threaded end cap for pipe

3- buy 2 washers larger than the inside diameter of pipe

4 - buy one length of 3/8 solid rod.

Now, the end cap should be self explanatory. You can put it on as tight as you like it won't be removed to retrieve the bullet lube.

Take a cut off threaded bolt the same size as the washer hole. Double nut washer on bolt, place in drill press or drill and reduce size to fit inside of pipe for one washer. I used an angle grinder while the washer was turning on the drill press to reduce the size.

Now, have the washer welded on the end of the 3/8 rod, alternately thread the end of the rod and double nut the washer on.

Take the second washer and drill it out to 3/8 so it slides on the rod.

Find a piece of pipe that is 1" outside diameter and weld it on to the the washer, this will center the rod as the liquid is cooling.

Insert the rod into pipe all the way, pour in your lube recipe slide the end washer down to center the rod on the pipe and let cool.

After you are sure the lube is cooled, app. 45 minutes, apply slight heat to outside of tube and pull out rod. You will see your almost free lube. To reduce friction when removing lube from rod cut into sizer length pieces turn to free and pull off of rod. If you got some lube high up on the rod while pouring apply a little heat prior to pulling off lube tubes.

7up can is in the picture for size reference.
I experimented with some red food colouring in the wax. I have since found out that I require a candle dye to color the lube. I wanted to do this because I have a few different recipes for lube to try.

Just remember a heater on the sizer makes things go a lot faster when sizing even with bought lubes. The lube recipe I use matches bought stuff for hardness. See my post about the home made sizer heater also.

I do, I pour what is left after the tube is filled into the luber. Problem is I lube a lot of bullets 20,000 plus, I don't always have time to heat up and pour directly into sizer. Pouring directly would be fine for the occassional user.
