Got a quick question for you ex-spurts. I am loading for the 405 Winchester, and for a fun/plinking load I tried some 210 gr JHC 41 Magnum pistol bullets using AA5744 powder -- 25.0 grains. It shoots pretty sweet. The problem I have is that even with the seating plug right in as far as it will go, the bullet doesn't seat very deep, and if I run the die a little deeper in the press, I get funny little wrinkles in the case neck area. The round still chambers perfectly, but I am thinking that those wrinkles are going to affect case life, and at $55 per 50, I want them to last as long as I can.
1. How do I get the bullet to seat deeper without the wrinkles?
2. Can I use another bullet on top of the one being seated to take up hte slack?
Help!
