Hey all, does RCBS make a micrometer style bullet seating die and if so is it caliber specific or does it work for certain groups of cartridges or what.??????????
p.s. where can I get one for a decent price{.30-06, .338 Federal} ie; cheap??????

I believe Hornady makes a micrometer top for their dies now. Probably your cheapest option.

Most of the micrometer top dies are Competition grade (read expensive)

I have RCBS Comp seating dies for all calibers that I shoot, They have a convienient window for inserting the bullet, micrometer adjustment. They use different height shell holders for the different cartriges in the same caliber, ie buy a 30-06 seater and the shell holder for 308, works on both. I am loading really accurate ammo using these dies on my forester co-ax press. Not major $$ compared to some of the others.

I have a Forster Ultra Micrometer Seater( in 308) I got it from Hirsch Precision Inc in NS, it cost me $85. In was told that the Redding is a copy of the Forster. Any way it's a great die..well worth the price

I use Wilson micro die and have Redding and Forester.
IMO Forester is a good choice same as Redding.
Go to Sinclair Intl. web site, they have good reloading selection

"...does RCBS make a micrometer style bullet seating die..." Yep. Two models. Competition and Gold Medal Match. The former are a bit less expensive.
.30-06 is listed on their site. The .338 Federal is not. Neither will be cheap.
