Thought I'd try taking a short cut by asking instead of taking the long road.
I've been working on loads for .22-250 , .223 & .308 that being said most times when I want different bullet weight I can't same bullet type.
I want to 100-500 target so what do most of you guys use, VMAX ,HPBT, etc. Any help would be great.
Thanks Ron:confused:

For the cartridges you list the Hornady amax is available in several weights. They shoot great and are some of the cheapest match bullets around.

What are your barrels twist rates for the 223, and 22-250. That will help with peoples recommendations on bullets for those 2.

For 308 I am using my supply of 155gr Sierra matchkings. The old style 2155. For my build in progress I will be trying out the new style 2156 sierras, and the Lapua Scenars 154gr.

For Lapua bullets Hirsch Precision/Peter is the man, really good guy to deal with.

For Sierra, or if you're interested in Bergers contact Mystic Precision, I beleive he has a pre-season sale on Bergers right now. Also a good guy to deal with.

SMK

.224 HPBT 52, 69, 77 (X2), 80, and 90gr there is also a 55, and 65gr SBT Gameking

.308 HPBT 135, 150, 155 (X2), 168, 175, 180, 190, 200, 210, 220, and 240gr

I've always had success with SMK's. If the rifle likes the bullet weight and type I've always had good groups with Match Kings.
