Just a quick question. I took a bullet and I tried to fit it inside the barrel, at the tip. The bullet can go all the way to the cartridge without resistance.
That usually means your crown (tip of the bore) is worn out and Yes that will effect accuracy. A common solution to this is to snip the last 1" or so off the barrel and redo the crown. If its a rare milsurp, you might have to retire it as a shooter unless you want to bubba it.
Take a bullet (on its own) and see how far down it'll fall in the barrel. If only an inch or two, might be worth counter-boring as H W suggests. Not too expensive a job by a gunsmith. But if it's a 100$ gun, that probably wouldn't be worth it.
