 Going over several loading manuals. I'm curious..
Lets say you pick 3 bullets of the same weight and same load with the same powder. In this case Barnes 250 Gr., Sierra 250 Gr. and Nosler 250 Gr.
Will impact be generally the same? Or out be several inches

all else being equal, they should be similar if the BC is similar. The further out you shoot, the greater the difference. at 100 yds, I'd expect a negligable difference

Usind identical loads except for the bullet in my 7mmstw,the 140gr partition had a difference in point of impact of over 2" at 100 yards from the 140gr ballistic point. The velocity was virtually identical.

My expereince with partitions mirrors Stubblejumpers. I think it has to do with the type of bullet, generally reg cup and core bullets will shoot similarly, but anytyhing with any different type of internals may not, ie a partition, X, failsafe etc.

I still think it has more to do with the shape of the bullet. As I said before, you have to compare POI between bullets with similar BC's. The Ballistic tip, with it's sharp plastic point has a higher BC than a partition.

changing powder or bullet can effect POI, only way to tell is to try em all out at the range on paper

110 gr. vmax in my 30-06 shot 3" left of POA than 168 gr. Barnes X
