bullets for buffalo

What brand of 8mm 200 grain rifle bullets would you use for buffalo?

My son used a 200gr speer in my 8mm Rem magnum. When he had a draw for a buffalo.

Nosler, Barnes and Swift will fix 'em. Big and heavy too.

200 Swift A-Frame or 200 Partition will be fine. Eagleye.

I've used both partitions and TSX bullets for large game, Both worked very well but I must say I was extremely impressed with the Barnes TSX performance and how they held together.

Shoot a penned in Buffalo??????why not just ship it to an arbutoir and have him knock it down. Sorry but I cannot see shooting a penned animal as hunting.

We get a draw up here in the NWT for wild buffs. Not everyone shoots at penned in animals. I'd be pretty hard up for blood to do something like a canned hunt. I didn't see it stated anywhere that this was gonna be a canned hunt. I think the OP is looking at a wild animal hunt.

I don't know where he got the "penned hunt" info from as I didn't read it. I think that a true Canadian wild buffalo hunt is one of the true holy grail hunts in this country.

There is a draw for Wood Bison in Alberta.

I would use the heaviest Barnes TSX.

I'm gonna try and find a Barnes ttsx or tsx in 338L for my bison in Oct but I am having trouble finding any factory ammo loaded with it.
