Bullpup SKS Kit

I dont know... im not much of a bullpup kind of guy. I agree with you, dont mess with something thats already perfect as is. Interesting concept though.

Run down how the law works on bullpups again. Is it legal so long as the firearm can't function without the stock? I remember reading about it with the G22's and Tavor but can't recall the details for conversions.

FYI:

Aren't bullpup conversion stocks illegal :) ?

You would think he could find better cover with all those rocks around.

Heaven forbid we would want to modify our firearms... at least I'm still allowed to put whatever kind of tires I want on my truck as long as I fill in the right forms and wait for approval from the ministry of vehicle alterations.

I read on another forum the SGworks Bullpup has not come to fruition yet. There is some re-designing going on for awhile now. I don't think anyone has got one yet, and there are a few who supposedly sent in pre-payment as there was an early buyer discount being offered for awhile.

i think using an SKS, and the reduced lenght, it would make for a great truck gun. Triggers are usually the weak link in cheap bullpups though.
The SKS isn't exactly a big rifle in the first place. Slightly longer than my marlin 30-30 and the same as my cooey 64b, both rifles must of seen their fair share of truck cabs.

I never liked bullpups, but that's a neat little conversion. I wonder if someone started doing the conversion at the factory level Ex. selling them as a complete gun if that'd get around the prohibitation.

If they modified the action, such that it could not be fired without the stock on, then it SHOULD be ok. Read the Norinco type 97 thread if you want to see how well SHOULD works out.

No. You couldn't modify the action and it make it legal. You would have to build a whole new action, from scratch and design it such that it would not work with an existing sks trigger group. Then you would gave to design your own stock/trigger group....

essentially it has to be made from the ground up as a bullpup compliant with existing law....you can't just alter an already registered receiver and "make" it compliant....
