EDIT.

Got it out to the range today. I boneheadedly forgot to bring the .338 cartridges. f:P:

Fired some .308 reloads through it, and I am quite happy with the results.

So my father saw the Desert Tactical Arms-Stealth Recon Scout (DT-SRS) at Target Sports and was hooked. He had to have it.

Skip forward two weeks and he comes home with a mysterious looking molle gun case.

A huge thanks to Target Sports, and especially to Joe, who brought it all together for my Father and I.

Here are a bunch of photos for anybody on the fence about it, and letting you know what comes in the kit. (A lot!) I have a video on how easy the barrel change is as well. (Stupidly easy)

Build quality seems amazing. The barrel swap system is pretty brilliant, if it works as advertised and keeps within 1-2 moa after removing and reinstalling a barrel.

Trigger is one of the best I have tried on any of my precision rifles. A short takeup, breaks like tapping on a sheet of glass with a ball peen hammer. Simpley beautiful. :adult:

Manufacturer firing tests confirm that the 308 barrel is 1/2 MOA, and the .338 barrel is 1MOA, but I think I can improve that with some good handloads.

If you want any info about it, let me know, I would be more then happy to answer.

That's a nice piece of kit. I've been kicking around the idea of buying one for the last few months. However, and I'll be honest with you, that 338 target concerns me a bit especially if it was shot at 100 yards. Let's hope you can shrink that group with some good handloads......

What's that "400" at the top of the 338 target mean? Do you know?

I'm jealous !! I have a look on this rifle for a while now and i think the conception of this beauty is pure genius. So simple to swap barrel, short rifle, and great accuracy better than 0.5 moa with handload.

But men this is pricey if this will be 4000 $ i will be in ...

Great purshase !!!

Update with a shooting video.

Man that thing has a serious muzzle blast compared to my 700P. (What a good brake does is amazing)

We only had some el-cheapo factory .308 to sight in with, as I am still setting up the reloading press in .308, but we had some really nice factory RUAG .338 Lapua to work with.

Accuracy with the cheapo Privi .308 was about 1.5" at 100 meters, not nearly good enough for my tastes, but it worked to get us on paper until I get the press runnning.

Accuracy with the .338 Lapua was great though, with 7 shots all touching, still, I can improve that with some load development.

Early in the day when we were sighting in with the .308 barrel, the shooter next to us asked us to put up some target board because the muzzle blast was a bit too intense. Not a problem, we put it up and put some heavy ammo cans behind it to hold it up.

Then we switch to the .338 barrel, and on the first shot, it blew the ammo can clear off the table! The thing gives anybody beside it a good taste of the power of a heavy caliber rifle.

On the third shot, it started to blow through the target board, which you can see in the video I posted back in my first post.

All in all, I love this rifle. Very well built, and awesome to shoot.

A significant improvement to say the least over factory testing loads.

Does anyone know if the magazine will allow you to handload so that the bullet is just touching the lands? Interested in a response for both the .308 and .338.
I think I'm getting dangerously close to making a decision on this rifle, so I figured I should get all my questions out of the way :)

Thanks, and there may be more to come...
