Do any of you have a Burgess shotgun and more importantly have a photo of the cartridge lifter for the gun? I was able to find a mediocre schematic of the mechanism on line but so far nothing with particularly good detail. The lifter seems to be peculiar in the sense that it appears to only pivot on one side of the breach portion which it is secured to. I am afraid my terminology is poor because the mechanism is so unusual.
