Burlington level 2

I just emailed Steve, asked him about it...

Hahaha, thanks a lot, Dr. Dave - so I show up, and he's like "everyone is crashing and burning, everyone's ####ing up, etc", so I take my time, don't stress my knee too much (upcoming surgery), then look at the results, and hey! No one told me I had to look out for Madness and his (I assume?) Glock!!!! ;) ;) Well done, though...

Dave told the turth I ####ed up on every stage, but aparently some of them were fast enough to not hurt so much. Didn't come up with a plan to feed the gremlins untill I picked up the popcorn bowl, I clued in to the fact that I was forgeting the 2 middle targets but still shooting 20 rounds when I was loading for the speed shoot. And the differnt reload angle iis still getting me now and then.
Omen is correct G-17 with novak style night sights and an extended mag release in uncle mikes holster & pouches.

The walls made the targets apear farther than they were, but a pretty straightforward match, to bad I whanged one off the barricade and took a miss on the big stage.

Pat I was taking bets with Mike on the way home you were going to put us all down 10% in open for sure.
I was down over 60 points on the 2 left side stages. I shoot slow , extra shoots every were. I looked like a one armed tallaban.

Oh yeah? Well I was shooting blind!
So there.

holly ####, that jam on #2 screwed me seriously! (just looked at the stage results). ohh, well... ;) It was fun anyway!

I had good runs on the two outside stages. I was a bit too methodical on the popcorn stage, but shot solid...just slow. But the big stage was a killer for me. I shot it a safe way, not intending to win it, but not lose any points...then threw away a miss on the left...that just killed me. I think I was about 10% ahead of everyone on stage 1 (2.97 - 28 points) but since it was a pretty small stage, it didn't make any difference.
Last weeks match at Brant I shouldn't have won, I had a malf on the first stage and stuck a partial mag in the gun on the second..and still won the match by 10%...hard to say how matches are gonna turn out.
We'll see how the triangle turns out, I start at Wentworth on Sun at 10:15

I drove all the way down from Sudbury for this match and it was well worth the drive, it was also my first indoor IPSC match which was neat, Id go again.

Do they still have matches in Sudbury? We used to go up to the Northern OHA matches there and shoot the side events (Labour Day weekend) always a fun time.

Yes Thanks to all who came out. Its looking like there won't be an April match next year, we are replacing some of our roof but we don't have a firm date yet....I think the Halloween Hoot should be back next year more or less on the same weekend :D

It didn't look to difficult of a match when I set it up, who would have thought we would get 8 or 9 FTE on the popcorn stage! I mean your looking at them when you start! More than one shooter, picked up their gun and moved to one side to start shooting. And don't for a minute think it was only new shooters, there is 1 Master (who I watched) and an A shooter (that fessed up to it) along with some top B class shooter with 4 Mikes and 2 FTE on there score sheets.

We still have the Labour Day shoot, but havnt had IPSC for awhile, Iam looking into getting my range official card and maybe trying to revive it.

They still have a PPC event, a couple of popper events, you can go to the Sudbury Revolver club web site and check it out, they have some pictures posted from this years match.

Cool, My buddies Jeff and Terry O'Hara and I used to love the popper stage. Though the match director prefered if we shot on Sunday, usually after we shot nobody would sign up.
