Just returned home this evening from a rather long drive from Burns Lake BC to Whitehorse, Yukon.
My shooting partner Len Andre and myself took part in the Tweedsmuir Park Rod & Gun Club 32nd annual 1000 yard shoot.
The hospitality and catering where second to none. A big thanks to all those that worked so hard to make this years shoot a success. We previously attended last years event and were accepted as old friends should be.
Even though this years attendance was down from last years, competition was stiff. As usuall lots of advice was freely administered to those (us!) who asked.
This years shoot had everything from Mirage to the unpredictible Wind gusts that came out of no where,
sure kept us on our toes. This year we did fairly well in the standings. A step forward from last years standings and with luck next year we will even be better. As long as we can find a suitable 1000 yards to practice here at home.
In closing, THANKS TO ALL THAT MADE OUR STAY ENJOYABLE AND SAFE!
We will be back!
