Burris - 3X-9X-40mm Full Field II Scope(Opinions)

I bought mine from Ebay, and mounted it to a Tikka .308. Very clear, solid construction, however I had a problem with it holding zero- after about 50 rounds, the recoil from the last shot did something to the internals- I could see part of an O-ring that had come loose, and one of the elements looked like it had some fine lines (cracks?) in it.

I like the scope, just a bit disappointed with it breaking and not holding zero. Likely a manuf defect. It's at Burris right now being evaluated... if interested, I'll update the group with the results.

Net result is that I have a rifle with no scope :(

Where is this written?

I looked on the scope and factory box and I can't find where it's made.

I have a Burris compact and it's written "made in the USA" on the eyepiece...

I want to know if I was wrong on my above reply and that I insisted when I got it from the store owner, that I wanted a scope made in the USA.

I can confirm that the Fullfield II's (at least mine) is made in the Phillipines.

I bet Burris knew customers wouldn't want "made in the Phillipines" etched into the scope - it is written on a tiny sticker which is stuck on the inside of the Burris cloth that the scope is wrapped in.

I am pleased with how it looks and feels, have yet to try it out.

Ditto. Have both, and I like the VX II a wee bit better that the Fullfield II. But either one are better than my 3200 Bushnell. (Why can't Bushnell build a premium scope with some real eye relief??? Have 3000, 3200, 4000, & 4200's,
and none of them have what I consider adequate eye relief for a "kicker")
That being said, my 3 main hunting rifles (50cal, 308 & 35 Whelen) wear a Zeiss Conquest, a Redfield Ultimate illuminator and a Leupold Vari-X III.
Sweet!

Well, I don't know if my scope (FFII) is broken or not, but the great thing is Burris has a lifetime warranty.

I emailed them and told them I was having problems with the scope. They emailed me back the very next day and told me to send the scope to them to have a look at.

So far so good - can't complain about the service :)
