Retails @ $479.00 and clearanced for $335.00. Apperantly includes Burris Forever warranty too. Inside the box it says 1 year but on Burris website it says forever. I will contact Burris Monday to confirm. It allowed me to register the product for forever warranty.

Looks like a equal quality to a Vortex Spitfire 3X and at a way lower price. Only thing I can see so far is the circle CQ ret is a bit on the small side. On the plus side is its a super bright red/Green light and it has the black when the power is off.

I have three Burris scopes and believe they are one of the less popular, under-rated scopes out there.

The parent company is Beretta which also owns Steiner optics. Burris makes a solid scope and their warranty is now being copied by others (starting this year Nikon now has a "no fault warranty" as well) - so even if you drop it from your treestand or run it over with your vehicle, they will repair or replace it free of charge.

I also own Vortex and Bushnell scopes but for the money you are hard pressed to find anything with the same features/quality of a Burris at anywhere near the same price. As long as they stay "less popular" the price will probably reflect that. You can't charge a premium for a name unless everyone "has to have it and believes it's better than everything else".

I agree about the small CQ that also affects my quick sighting. A fine piece but I am going to change it for something more eye friendly for me.

Is the $335.00 a great price? Also the stellar warranty should bring buyers sniffing around. Like I told the salesman, I look after my stuff but I would be really pissed if I went to use it and it was broken for no reason. With the forever warranty I felt like it was a great bargain.

It's cheaper than a spitfire but has less adjustment, only an illuminated reticle (not etched which is better imo) and is heavier.

Worth the cheaper price but not a stellar deal IMO. I'll wait for a local deal on a Spitfire I think.

I contacted Burris and they are definatly covered under the FOREVER warranty now. So thats good news. Also the guy I spoke with said they appear to be a decent unit and they have not had very many warranty returns.
