Ordered Minox 1.5x8 would like to compare to Burris Eurodiamond 1.5x6. Recently had the opportunity to look through Swarovski 1.5x6 and was blown away, loved the 1.5 FOV for timber hunting just don't ave the budget for swarovski, any thoughts appreciated
cheers

The Burris Eurodiamond is a very sharp high contrast optic that can take the ppounding of belted amgnums. Burris is a dedicated scope company in th eUSA . Minox has dabbled in scopes and been in and out of the hunting scope business. It too is a sharp high contrast optic. We have several Burris on rifles and never could bring ourselves to buy a Minox. We were worried about warrranties due to the company comming in and out of the scope business. Probably a baseless concern but we worried. The fixed power Burris 2.5X in the one inch tube is mind blowing sharp, hunt that one down, When we found one it was amazing because it is sharp enough to be accurate at 200 yds and sharp up close at 20 yds as well. No adjustments needed and nothing to break. It really opened our eyes to fixed power scopes.

Who's "we"? You got a mouse in your pocket? Your reply sounds like a Burris ad straight out of a hunting mag.

Minox hasn't been in and out of the scope business, not sure where you're getting that info from. They have however been in the camera and optics business longer than most companies.

You did good with the Minox, the Burris won't be any better. Burris has always been a wannabe Leupold company,IMO.
