Burris Fast Fire III on CZ85B or Sig P226 - How to mount

Tagged for interest. I just ordered a Cadex RDS mount for the P226 from OST. They're clearing them out for $58. I've never used/owned a Burris FF III or the Bushnell version but hope one of those work with this mount. Looking to put it on my 226 22LR slide for sh!ts & giggles.

Hi guys,

Sorry for dragging up an old thread but thought this might be useful for someone else wishing to mount a red dot on a CZ 75.

I purchased a mount for my Shadow from springerprecision in the USA. No problem with shipping to Canada. The mount for the Shadow has a different dovetail but the
process is the same for a CZ85. My rear sight came out hard and I was using a sight press purchased from ebay. New mount went on easily and has several set screws to
lock it in place. This specific mount is good for Burris Fastfire or Doctor optics. On my first trip to the range I was not able to adjust the elevation to point of aim as I ran out of
adjustment. I made a shim to fit between mount and optic to raise the back of optics slightly. This should give me enough adjustment as I was shooting 3 inches low from a rest.
Is the Fastfire 3 built tough enough to ride the slide? Only time will tell but it is rated for shotguns. I think the red dot looks good on the slide and is just what my eyes need.

Looks good! I'm doing similar with my Sig 226.

Trinimon- I am not sure if that will run properly on the alloy slide of the 22lr 226. Would add quite a bit of reciprocating weight up there.
